Dr. El-Sayed Kandil, President of Capital University, attended the activities of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects Conference, held at the Cairo Governorate headquarters, in the presence of several ministers, officials, and experts in environment and sustainable development.

The event was attended by Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Environment, Dr. Ahmed Rostom, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, and Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, along with a distinguished group of university presidents and representatives of research institutions. The conference discussed ways to support projects that won in previous cycles and introduced the fourth phase of the initiative.

The President of Capital University أكد the university’s commitment to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship in the fields of environment and climate, highlighting the importance of linking scientific research with practical application to contribute to achieving sustainable development goals and enhancing the transition toward a green economy.

The conference also featured presentations of several success stories of innovative projects in waste recycling and renewable energy, with emphasis on the importance of cooperation between academic and governmental institutions to provide technical and logistical support to project owners, ensuring their sustainability and creating a positive impact on society.
