**Capital University Organizes an Introductory Seminar on Scholarships and Programs of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)**

As part of its commitment to promoting academic internationalization and supporting the research ecosystem, Capital University organized an introductory seminar titled *“Scholarships and International Research Projects.”* The seminar aimed to highlight the programs and opportunities offered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), one of the leading international organizations supporting education and scientific research.
The seminar was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Kandil, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Emad Abu El-Dahab, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research. It witnessed wide participation from faculty members, teaching assistants, researchers, postgraduate students, and senior undergraduate students.
Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Kandil emphasized the university’s commitment to engaging with global education systems and providing distinguished educational and research opportunities that prepare graduates to compete in the international job market, in alignment with sustainable development goals.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Emad Abu El-Dahab highlighted the importance of expanding international research collaboration programs and benefiting from grants and funding provided by global institutions, given their role in advancing scientific research and enhancing the university’s position in global rankings.
The seminar included a detailed presentation of DAAD programs, covering:
* Master’s and PhD scholarships
* International research project support programs
* Academic exchange scholarships
* Research fellowships and postdoctoral opportunities
It also reviewed application procedures, admission requirements, and evaluation criteria, helping researchers make the most of these opportunities.
The seminar was organized by the International Relations Office under the supervision of Dr. Esraa Yasser Dawoud, as part of the office’s efforts to strengthen the university’s international presence and provide an interactive platform that supports researchers in exploring global collaboration opportunities and building internationally oriented academic paths.
This seminar comes within the strategy of the Graduate Studies and Research Sector at the university, which aims to empower researchers to access international funding opportunities and participate in multinational research projects, contributing to building sustainable academic partnerships with global universities and research institutions.
